Literature In Life: Robert Frost Edition

We went to the park yesterday, to get the heck out of the house for an hour, and even though I usually associate him with autumn and New England, everything was like a Robert Frost poem.

Sneak Peek

Each laid on other a staying hand
To listen ere we dared to look,
And in the hush we joined to make
We heard, we knew we heard the brook. -- "Going for Water"

Tiny Little Evil

We dance round in a ring and suppose,
But the Secret sits in the middle and knows. -- "The Secret Sits"

Jailbreak

Spring is the mischief in me. -- "Mending Wall"

RAWR

"Be happy, happy, happy,
And seize the day of pleasure." -- "Carpe Diem"

White Birch

So was I once myself a swinger of birches.
And so I dream of going back to be. ...
One could do worse than be a swinger of birches. -- "Birches"

  2. I love how you brought the poetry and pic together! I would never have thought to do that. I'm not sure how one would even go about doing that.

I don't think I'd have the patience, maybe that's it.

  3. I was a writing major, so I read A LOT of stuff in high school and college, and I have huge sections of my brain devoted to poets and poetry and sections of text from Great Works and a fully indexed and cross-referenced list of Every Person Who Ever Played Survivor Ever.

A lobotomy would probably do me a lot of good, honestly.
